GENESIS Preparatory Academy

Established in 2016, GENESIS Preparatory Academy opened it's doors to Fayette, Fulton, Clayton, and Henry County residents to offer an educational alternative that is personalized to the needs of local children and families looking to DO EDUCATION DIFFERENTLY. Students have the opportunity to develop unique interests, uncover hidden talents, experience satisfaction in accomplishments, gain a sense of responsibility, and pursue education as a way of life through educational programs tailored to their own specific needs.  Such practices include, but are not limited to; smaller classroom sizes, alternative and researched-based instructional methods, entrepreneurial opportunities, professional development opportunities, and individualized and differentiated instruction.

GENESIS Preparatory Academy's approach to creative learning is unique, highly personalized and guaranteed to ensure you meet your potential. We integrate college and career readiness skills into a rigorous Common Core-based academic curriculum. We offer families an educational alternative that is personalized to our scholars’ area of interest. Each scholar has the opportunity to develop unique abilities, uncover hidden talents and gain cultural experience while pursuing an education tailored to their needs and interest.

 

The founder is a native of Fort Pierce, Florida.  Mrs. Iris Blevins is a graduate of Alabama State University with both a B.S and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She also has Advocacy Certification in Special Education and Business Development.  Her educational experience includes teaching K-Collegiate, Site Facilitator for Audrey Cohen College (NY), Educational Specialist in Academic Coaching, University Supervisor for Grand Canyon University, and Program Director of a Non-Profit.

GENESIS Preparatory Academy engages students in instruction that integrates academics and career paths in ways that address the unique needs and interests of each student, while intentionally developing confidence, self-advocacy, and collaboration.
